This is the roof on our own personal garage. We build the garage to look like a barn and thus used a roofing material different from the house to help authenticate the look. We used slate we salvaged from roof replacement projects, some of which came from the historic Waybury Inn in Middlebury. The skylights added some work to the project, but they bring lots of light into the second floor of the garage.
