We started building the Leo house in November of '05 and completed construction in about six months. The house was entirely "stick framed" (no trusses) using engineered lumber and Advantech plywood subfloors. While building the house, we noticed some strong gusts of wind from the SW and suggested that high-wind shingles be used on that face. The Leos wanted to go with low-maintenance exterior finishes and we installed pre-painted Hardi-plank cement board siding and trim. There is a lovely view of Camel's Hump from the deck and from many of the windows on that side of the house.
